Building and sharing a trip is free. No subscription, no per-traveler charge, no publish fee. Add every flight, every event, drop the shareable link in the group chat — the whole group dashboard costs nothing. The one paid upgrade is Vrolu Pro, for watching a flight live — see below.

Vrolu Pro is the optional subscription in the Vrolu iOS app for watching flights live. You get the plane moving on the map, flight progress on your Lock Screen, push on every status change, and a shareable live link so your partner or family can follow along. Two tiers: Solo Pro ($39.99/year or $4.99/week) covers your own flights; Group Pro ($79.99/year or $12.99/week) lights your whole group's board — one subscription covers every member's shared flights. Billed through your Apple Account, cancel anytime in Apple settings. The free group dashboard shows every flight's scheduled times, gates and numbers — Vrolu Pro is the live layer on top.

No app. Travelers open the link from the group chat in their phone's browser and see the whole plan — flights, events, addresses, reminders. No App Store. One quick sign-in with their email (auto-provisioned from the invite link — no separate signup form to fill out) so the trip data stays private to the group, not exposed to anyone who guesses the URL.

Yes — add flights, add events, change reservation times, fix a typo. Edits go live instantly on the shareable link, no re-publish or extra payment. The group always sees the current plan.

Vrolu watches flight status through FlightAware — delays, gate changes, departures, arrivals get pushed to the dashboard in near-real time. Anyone in the group who opted into notifications gets an email; everyone else sees the latest status the next time they open the link.

We use FlightAware's live AeroAPI feed — the same data stream that powers commercial flight-tracking boards. It's accurate enough that "Becky's flight just got delayed 40 minutes" will be true on the dashboard before the gate agent finishes the announcement. Edge cases (small regional carriers, charter flights) can be slower or unavailable; the dashboard shows when data is stale.

Publishing turns on the public /t/{slug} link and lets travelers subscribe to notifications. Before you publish, the trip is a private draft only you can see. Publishing is free — one tap flips the trip from draft to live.

Vrolu is a small one-person operation and we don't have a self-serve refund tool yet. If the product broke for you, the trip got cancelled, or you paid by mistake, email hello@vrolu.com — we'll make it right.

We collect what we need to run the product: your email for your account, the flight numbers and traveler names you enter, and the email addresses of travelers who opt into notifications. We don't sell data, we don't run ad trackers on travelers, and the public trip page is unindexed by default. Unsubscribe links are one tap from any email we send.

There's a native iPhone app for the organizer who wants a real home-screen icon, native push, Lock Screen flight progress, and Vrolu Pro live flight tracking. Travelers still never need it — the shared dashboard opens in any phone browser, by design. Android is a later conversation; we'll announce it when it's real.
